Nutrition Research of the Week (You Should Know About)
Photo by John Schnobrich on Unsplash “Food is Medicine” is one of the more popular terms lately. But what happens when you take 2 groups of individuals with diabetes and provide one group with ‘healthy groceries for 10 meals per week for an entire household’? Do you see a difference in HbA1c? “In this randomized clinical trial, an intensive food-as-medicine program increased engagement with preventive health care but did not improve glycemic control compared with usual care among adult participants.”
