Thanksgiving Threats

It seems like the noise around celebrating Thanksgiving is a little quieter (and less guilt inducing) this year with fewer posts about ‘How many calories the typical Thanksgiving meal has’ or how to make Thanksgiving “healthier”. But apparently actor Joaquin Phoenix is encouraging people to make their Thanksgiving vegan. If you follow a vegan diet for health, moral or religious reasons - you do you - but don’t try to make your Thanksgiving vegan— unless your family and guests are on board with that…and HAPPY THANKSGIVING (if you celebrate it).

Conclusion In primary care IBS patients, a FODMAP-lowering diet application was superior to a spasmolytic agent in improving IBS symptoms. A FODMAP-lowering diet should be considered the first-line treatment for IBS in primary care.
