Q #1: What do you do as a dietitian?
“I'm the owner of a group private practice and group exercise studio, where I help individuals lead healthier lives through movement and personalized nutrition guidance.”
Q #2: What is your 'side hustle' and how/why did you start doing this?
“My passion project aka side hustle is organizing culinary trips for dietitians, where they can earn continuing education credits while exploring new destinations. These trips offer a unique blend of culinary adventures—think farm and factory tours, hands-on cooking classes, and immersions into local markets—along with opportunities to visit iconic landmarks and hidden gems. I started these trips to bring together my passion for travel, food, and connecting with fellow dietitians. The idea was to create a unique way for dietitians to earn their continuing education credits, with the added bonus of making these trips tax-deductible as educational experiences.”

🤪Food Boob (Babe)…She’s BAACCKK
Food Babe, aka the “Cockroach of Quackery” is back. To have a look at Food Babe’s (Vani Hari) history and her techniques, check out this ‘stack authored by Dr. Andrea Love with contributions from Australian dietitian, Danielle Shine.
Food Babe's disinformation, chemophobia, and scare tactics are the real toxic ingredients
“Vani has been undermining credible experts in relevant fields for years as a self-appointed health activist.”
Yep, we’ve been sharing posts warning about Vani and her pseudoscience and misinformation for a while….and her techniques haven’t changed.

“It seemed she (Vani) had faded into the “ghosts of charlatans past” until she got a megaphone at the recent “Congressional Roundtable on Health and Nutrition” (read here), and is now a part of the “Make America Healthy Again” movement (MAHA), spearheaded by RFK Jr. as his add-on to the far-right MAGA movement…”

The Not-So-Secret Key to Health and Vitality that Health Professionals Want You to Know About - From dietitian Megan Maisano
“It can be challenging to sift through the noise of clickbait headlines or passionate influencers but remember that these voices are often the loudest and they do come and go. Sound public health advice may evolve with advancing research, but the basic and boring foundations don’t change too much over time. There is no secret, there is no conspiracy theory, there is no poisoning. If majority of Americans improved habits around diet, exercise, sleep, substance use and mental health we would be much healthier. America’s health professionals and organizations want you to be healthy and truly dedicate their lives to do just that.”
